How Does It Work?

Often referred to as the most popular dental jewelry for your mouth, grillz may just be the hottest accessory for your teeth. Rappers and famous celebrities are often seen with grillz in their mouth worth said multiples of $5,000 to $100,000 plus, and this often leaves many people wondering how to get grillz.

Real grillz require a mold of your teeth in order to make grillz custom fit your teeth perfectly (similar to how invisalign would fit).

What are Grillz

The most popular grillz are removable and fit on your teeth without causing any pain or discomfort. Removable Grillz or “pop-out” grillz are the preferred choice compared to permanent grillz because you want to be able to take off the grillz to brush your teeth and eat. When getting permanent grillz, the dentist must grind down your original teeth so your bite isn't altered, and most dentists will tell you that this is not the best option and to go with a removable choice.

Grillz are popular among many musical artists, fashionistas, models, athletes, and more! Grillz are a way of enhancing your personal style. Designing yourself a set of custom grillz is a unique way of showing off who you are as an individual.

What Are Real Grillz?

Real grillz, also referred to as authentic grillz, are grillz made of solid gold or diamonds. Authentic grillz often come with a 100% certified authentic guarantee and may be the smartest decision when considering where to get grillz

Guide to Custom Grillz

Grillz have continued to gain popularity at an accelerating rate over the past couple years. Originally, custom grillz were mainly popular in the hip hop industry, but recently we have seen a dramatic increase in the demographic wearing custom grillz.

What are Grillz

One of the main factors leading to the increase in demand of these custom grillz by people across all races, ages, and industries is the trend in designing and manufacturing one-of-a-kind grillz pieces.

The design options for grillz are endless! With the increased desire to be individualistic, the amount of custom grillz orders that are one-of-a-kind pieces that directly embody the client who is wearing the teeth sets has gone through the roof. Standard grillz are made using solid gold (typically in 10K, 14K, and 18K). The second most popular grillz styles feature diamonds full covering the surface of each tooth.

Guide to Custom Grillz

Some of the newer, more unique pieces feature colored sapphires, emeralds, rubies, amethyst, enamel, pearl shells, abalone shells, opals, custom laser engraved logos or patterns, different cut stones (baguettes, hearts, pear-shapes..) and much much more.

As Los Angeles’ go-to grillz business for one-of-a-kind custom grillz, we have noticed a dramatic increase in the number of customers who have their own interpretation of their ideal custom grillz piece. From single teeth opal grillz to top 10 teeth all in solid gold, to grillz with star cut-outs and custom engravings symbolizing the street the client grew up on, the custom grillz designs are seemingly endless. Whenever we are working with a client in-person or over the phone, we highly encourage every client to go as “crazy” as possible when creating custom designs. We love the opportunity to make one-of-a-kind grillz pieces that will symbolize who you are as a person!

Custom Grillz

Steps to Making Grillz:

  1. You need to have a mold taken of your teeth (via mold kit or getting a mold done in-person)
  2. Cement is poured into the mold
  3. A wax-version of the grillz is made to fit the cement mold of your teeth
  4. The wax is brought to a gold caster who turns the wax piece into gold
  5. The gold grillz are polished, finished and small adjustments are made for fitment.
  6. (optional) diamonds, sapphires, enamel, pearls, and other customizations are done after the piece to meet your grillz order requirements.
