What Are Custom Grillz?

Custom Grillz are gold teeth sets or caps that are made to fit your teeth specifically. In order to make custom grillz, you need to have a mold of your teeth taken. Most other grillz manufacturers will have you go to a dentist in order to get a dental impression done, but at Luxe Grillz, we have made the process easy for you by offering easy, do-it-yourself mold kits that we send in the mail to our clients. Our most popular grillz styles include single teeth grillz, fang grillz, 2 teeth grillz, 4-teeth grillz, 6-teeth grillz, 8-teeth grillz and offered for both top and bottom sets (learn more about grillz types below).

The grillz molding process is easy, and we provide you with printed-out instructions, there will be digital instructions sent to your email after you order, and we also have a molding instructional video which will walk you through the process step-by-step. As you can imagine, custom grillz will only fit your teeth. Everyone’s teeth and smile are unique to them, similar to a fingerprint, and it is extremely important to work with an experienced manufacturer otherwise the teeth will not fit you properly.

Gold Teeth Options

For our standard gold teeth options, we offer 10K gold, 14K gold, and 18K gold. We have occasionally made 22K gold teeth in the past, but we tend to stay away from making grillz in 24K gold because it is too pure and the piece will be malleable and will lose its shape too easily.

Diamond Grillz Options & Styles

For our standard diamond grillz, we offer 3 diamond clarity options. We offer SI-clarity G-Color diamond grillz, VS+ G-Color diamond grillz, and VVS+ D-Color diamond grillz. At Luxe Grillz, we only use natural brilliant-cut diamonds for all of our diamond grillz sets. We pride ourselves on being a high-quality luxury brand and refuse to use and lab-grown diamonds or fake CVD stones.

How Much Are Grillz

The price of grillz depends on a couple different factors: gold purity and the number of teeth being the two main determinants. The more teeth you order, the cheaper the price is on a per-tooth basis.

Grillz Prices

For example, a single gold tooth in 10K gold is $225, a single gold tooth in 14K is $295, and a single gold tooth in 18K is $425. A bottom 8 grill (8 teeth) in 10K gold is $895, or under $112 per tooth. A bottom 8 in 14K gold is $1,195 or under $150 per tooth. A bottom 8 in 18K gold is $1,945, or under $245 per tooth. Another huge determinant on the overall price of your grillz is if you would like to add diamonds, and the quality of the diamond grillz you are interested in. At Luxe Grillz, our SI-clarity diamond grillz cost $925 for a single diamond tooth.

Our VS-clarity diamond grillz start at $1,340 for a single diamond tooth. Our VVS-clarity diamond grillz cost $2,235 for a single diamond tooth. We use roughly .7-1.0 total diamond carats in each of our diamond teeth. Of course the size of your tooth impacts the amount of diamonds we are able to fit in the grill, but it is our mission to fit as many stones as possible, providing you with the highest quality diamond grill on the market. At Luxe Grillz, we only use 100% solid gold and natural diamonds in our grillz manufacturing process. While other grillz companies use silver with gold plating and use lab-grown diamonds or fake CVD stones to save money, we separate ourselves by providing you with the highest-quality authentic grillz on the market.

Grillz Process

1. The Molding: We will send a mold kit to your house so you can take a mold of your teeth. If you are in Los Angeles, you can come to our office in downtown Los Angeles and we will take your mold for you. 2. The Cementing: We pour liquid cement into your mold which hardens and gives us a cement-version of your teeth to work with. 3. The Waxing: We will make a wax-version of your grillz based on the cement version of your teeth
4. The Casting: We put the wax in a large gold casting oven which pours melted gold into a metal cylinder replacing the waxed-version of your grill with solid gold. 5. The Polishing: We spend a couple hours doing some polishing and buffing on the grill after it is finished in the gold-casting oven. Here is where we add the finishing touches and make sure the grillz will perfectly fit your teeth.

Where to Get Grillz

There are a number of companies online offering gold and diamond grillz as a service. Unfortunately, there are a good amount of jewelry and grillz brands that will not offer you high-quality goods. We have had customers come into our store who wanted to melt their grillz down to use as a deposit to have us make thema new set because the set the other manufacturer made for them did not fit properly. Unfortunately, after we tested the gold, we found out that their manufacturer did not use the gold purity the customer thought they were paying for. On one instance, the grill was made using only 5K gold instead of the 10K gold that the customer thought she was receiving.
We have also been told that some of our online competitors refuse to answer their company phones after you place an order on their website and are essentially stealing money from the customer at that point. Other companies will also lie to you saying they will get your grillz finished in 2 weeks, when in reality it will take them over 2-3 months. What makes Luxe Grillz your go-to spot for grillz is our fantastic customer service, guaranteed authenticity on gold and diamond grillz, and our guaranteed fitment or your money back. Luxe Grillz has over 50 5-star reviews and goes above and beyond to make your grillz dreams a reality.

Celebrities with Grillz

Like most things in life, grillz have gained a tremendous amount of popularity because of the increasing number of celebrities seen rocking gold and diamond teeth. A-list celebrities such as ASAP Rocky, Alvin Kamara, Travis Scott, Kim Kardashian, Cam Newton, Madonna, and Lamelo Ball are just a small group of those who have evolved the designs and popularity of grillz around the world.

History of Grillz

History has shown that humans have been wearing grillz for over 4,500 years. Archaeologists excavated a burial site in Giza and found a set of male’s set of bones who had two gold teeth permanently implanted in his mouth. Fast-forward to the 16th century, and gold teeth became popular in the Philippines.
Gold teeth originally made their way to the United States by African immigrants who were involved in the Transatlantic Slave Trade. Gold has been used for decades in the dental world as a way to fill cavities. In the 1980s, Gold teeth became popular in New York City. What was once a way to prevent further damage to one’s teeth eventually became a staple in the fashion industry for musicians, influencers, models, and athletes alike.
